Germany, Heer. An Army EM/NCO Belt Buckle by Brüder Schneider, c.1940

(Heer Koppelschloss). A Germany Army belt buckle constructed of stamped steel, painted field grey, presenting an eagle standing upon a mobile swastika encircled by the inscription “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) above and a wreath of oak leaves and acorns below, unmarked reverse, with brown leather tab, maker mark for Gübruder Schneider of Vienna and dated “1940,” measures 63 mm (w) x 47 mm (h), and in very fine condition.
