A Panzer Officer’s crushed visor cap constructed of a smooth field-grey wool exterior with a forest green wool cap band, three bands of pink Waffenfarbe piping (indicating Panzer) ring the cap, with a single band at the top and one each at the top and bottom of the cap band, stitched onto the peak is a Wehrmacht-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, constructed of machine-embroidered bullion wire, stitched onto the centre of the cap band is a Wehrmacht-style tri-colour cockade within an arrangement of oak leaves and acorns, similarly constructed of machine-embroidered silver aluminum bullion wire, the cap is flanked on each side by silvered pebbled magnetic metal buttons holding in place a decorative chinstrap constructed of braided and twisted silver aluminum bullion wire, neatly knotted at both ends, the chinstrap rests upon the cap’s visor, which is constructed of Vulkanfiber, lacquered on the upper visible surface with a raised ridge along the brim, the visor reverse is tan in colour, the interior features a 45 mm wide tan leather sweatband neatly held in place by a row of machine stitching, the interior features a complete, pale gold silk liner with a transparent moisture guard, which features a label with the typed owner’s name “Ltn. Schindewolf,” measures approximately 20.15 cm (w) x 25 cm (l) x 15 cm (h), with minimal mothing to the exterior wool, heavy soiling to the interior and sweatband, but in overall very extremely fine condition.
