A letter opener that is a miniature of the 1934 Deutsches Luftsportverband (DLV) dagger (renamed Luftwaffe Fliegerdolch), the crossguard features a sunwheel swastika engraved at the centre with extensions on either side in the form of stylistic down-swept wings, the grooves along the handle travel diagonally towards the round pommel (missing), the blade measures 13 cm long, the letter opener is a total of 18 cm long, and in very fine condition.
