United States. A Silver Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, c.1945

Two-piece construction, silver star placed upon a bronze gilt star-shaped base, measuring 36 mm (w) x 34.5 mm (h), bronze Oak Leaf Cluster on its original ribbon with brooch pinback, very light contact, near extremely fine. Accompanied by its 35.5 mm (w) x 10 mm (h) ribbon bar, in its hardshelled case of issue, marked "SILVER STAR MEDAL" on the lid, very light wear on the bottom, case also near extremely fine.
