(Kronenordern, II. Modell, II. Klasse mit Schwertern). An extremely well-preserved Prussian Order of the Crown, II Class with Swords, constructed of Gold with multi-coloured enamels, presenting as a Templar Cross with white enameled arms, obverse with central Prussian imperial crown, within a blue enameled ring with inscription of “Gott Mit Uns” (“God is With Us”), reverse with central gilt monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, within blue enameled ring with inscription of “Den 18. Oktober 1861 (“The 18th of October 1861”), with crossed Gold swords soldered to the top arm holding in place suspension loop, with its period correct replacement ribbon, unmarked, measuring 51.55 mm (w) x 51.73 mm (h) (62.31 mm inclusive of sword apparatus), weighing 21.01 grams, accompanied by its period original case of issue, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux black leather exterior, obverse lid with gold embossed monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I topped by Prussian imperial crown, interior with white satin-type lid liner, removable depressed red felt medal bed, functional magnetic metal hinge, non-functional spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 76.53 mm (w) x 106.47 mm (l) x 30.17 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.
