Germany, Wehrmacht. A Rare Silver Wound Badge, Silver Grade, by Königliches Muenzamt

(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). An oval badge constructed of silver, the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm in the centre, superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom, the reverse presents a screw back, stamped “800” for silver fineness on both the screw back rings, the back plate maker marked “K.M.” for Königliches Muenzamt Stuttgart, measures 37.97 mm (w) x 43.21 mm (h), weighs 15.8 grams, and in near extremely fine condition.
