Germany, Third Reich. A Bronze Grade Equestrian Badge by L. Christian Lauer

(Pferdesport Leistungsabzeichen in Bronze). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oak wreath with a horseshoe and the letter “R” at the base, with a rider on a horse, the reverse plain, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “L. Chr. Lauer, Nürnberg”, measuring 42.31 mm (w) x 51.95 mm (h) and weighing 15.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
