Purple Heart (two-piece construction, in bronze gilt with red, white, purple and green enamels, engraved "JOHN B. PERKINS 32489576" on the reverse, measuring 34.5 mm (w) x 43 mm (h)); European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze stars (in bronze, measuring 32.7 mm in diameter); Army Good Conduct Medal (in bronze, measuring 32 mm in diameter); and World War II Victory Medal (in bronze, measuring 36.2 mm in diameter). Court-mounted, original ribbons, extremely fine. Accompanied by three ribbon bars (Purple Heart, measuring 35.5 mm (w) x 10.3 mm (h); European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze stars and Army Good Conduct Medal, measuring 72 mm (w) x 10.5 mm (h); World War II Victory Medal, measuring 36.7 mm (w) x 10 mm (h)); his Purple Heart Extract (typewritten, dated July 29, 1944, inscribed "6. Under the provisions of AR 600-45, the PURPLE HEART, is hereby awarded to Pvt John B. Perkins, 32489576, for wound received in action / By order of Lieutenant Colonel SMITH: / JOHN S. EDWARDS Capt, MAC Adjutant" and signed by Smith, measuring 168 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), card-mounted); his Identification Tag (Dog Tag) (in die-stamped aluminum, inscribed "JOHN B. PERKINS / 32489576 T42 0 / JENNIE E. PERKINS / 450 PORTAGE ST. C / WATERTOWN, N.Y.", measuring 50.8 mm (w) x 28.3 mm (h), die-hole at the right for suspension); a Small Name Plate (in silver, inscribed "JOHN B PERKINS / 32489576", measuring 28.7 mm (w) x 14.3 mm (h), four die-holes); a Combat Infantryman Badge (in silvered metal with blue enamels, maker marked "N.S. MEYER INC. Rifle Clasp (in sterling silver, marked "STERLING" on the reverse of both the badge and the clasp, measuring 26 mm (w) x 40 mm (h) inclusive of its clasp); an Enlisted Man's Cap Badge (two-piece construction, in bronze, maker marked "MEYER METAL" on the reverse, measuring 38.5 mm in diameter, screwback); a United States Army Reserve Tag (in silvered metal, magnetic, obverse inscribed "U S ARMY RESERVE", reverse illustrating the Liberty Bell and inscribed "STRENGTH IN RESERVE", measuring 31.5 mm (w) x 33.5 mm (h), die-hole at the top for suspension); a Crucifix (multi-piece construction, in silvered brass, measuring 59.8 mm (w) x 114.5 mm (h)); along with a Scanned Photograph of Perkins as an Older Man (color, measuring 65 mm (w) x 100 mm (h), card-mounted).
