He attested with the Hornet on 26 May 1854 and served on the Fisguard, 1859; Amphion, 1859-62; Victory, 1862-64; Wolverine, 1864-66; Rosario, 1866; Irrestible, 1866; Hector, 1866-68; Scylla, 1869; Naval Barracks, 1869-74, and Pembroke, 1878-79. He was pensioned ashore from the Pembroke. With copied service papers and roll extract.
