A rare 1943 German “Kriegsweihnacht 1943 - Kefalonia, Montenegro, Griechenland” commemorative medal, in aluminum with a Edelweiss flower on the obverse of the medal (Edelweiss flowers traditionally represent bravery and courage in German/Austrian culture), unmarked but these commemorative medals are known to be made locally in France, measuring 35 mm in diameter, weighing 11.4 grams, shows contact marks, and in overall better than fine condition.
