(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of silvered tombak, obverse depicts a Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) bearing a mobile swastika on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field with laurel branch wreath, unmarked, reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, measuring 35.92 mm (w) x 43.62 mm (h), weighing 20.5 grams, with its period original pocket of issue, constructed of field-grey paper, maker marked “Rudolf Wächlter & Lange, Mittweida” on reverse, measuring 59 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), in near mint condition.
