(Medaglia Commemorativa della Marcia su Roma, bronzo). Instituted in 1923. In bronze, obverse illustrating a winged woman representing Victory, her right arm raised and holding a laurel wreath in her hand, a fasces in her left hand, Fascist symbols including fasces, swords and standards in the background, reverse illustrating a square tablet, with fasces on all four sides of the tablet, within a circular ring inscribed "MARCIA SU ROMA / 27 OTTOBRE - 1 NOVEMBRE 1922", measuring 34.5 mm in diameter, original ribbon, extremely fine.

Footnote: The medal was created on October 21, 1923, to mark the first anniversary of the Fascist March on Rome of October 28th and Mussolini’s assumption of power three days later. It was officially recognized on December 31, 1923 but only for wear by members of the Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale (National Security Volunteer Militia - M.V.S.N., popularly known as the Camicie Nere or Blackshirts). Later, by Royal Decree of November 1, 1928, all military who had participated in the March were authorized to wear the medal.
