In browning copper, maker marked and dated "ELLIS BROS 1916" on the reverse, measuring 46.2 mm (w) x 46.2 mm (h), one lug intact, the other having been re-soldered, cleaned, very fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario under the authority of G.O. 103A, August 15, 1915. The Battalion sailed April 28, 1916 with a strength of 35 officers and 1,081 other ranks under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel R. Pellatt. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 12th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
