(Magyar Háborús Emlékérem). Instituted on 26 May 1929. A circular, silver medal, the obverse centre presents the coat of arms of Hungary decorated with the Hungarian Holy Crown, over a pair of crossed swords, surrounded by a laurel wreath on the left and an oak leaf wreath on the right, the reverse centre presents a military steel helmet above the years 1914-1918, surmounted by the inscription PRO DEO ET PATRIA (GOD AND COUNTRY), with palm branch tied with a ribbon below, measuring 36 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original combat tri-fold ribbon, accompanied by period original presentation case, maker marked JOHANN MAURER WIEN & SOPRON, measuring 69 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), and in near very fine condition.
