Germany, Ordnungspolizei. A Pair of German Police Administrative Major Shoulder Boards

A pair of Verwaltungspolizei (Administrative Police) shoulder boards constructed of aluminum bullion Russian braid of four rows of interwoven silver threads, hand-stitched to light-grey wool backing, with a cardboard core, measuring 38 mm (w) x 107 mm (l), and in extremely fine condition.

Footnote: The Verwaltungspolizei performed administrative functions for all components of the German Police. The underlay colour changed from red over grey to just grey in 1942. Light-grey waffenfarbe was also used for Heer Propaganda Personnel.
