A well-preserved visor cap constructed of a smooth navy wool exterior with a black velvet cap band, three bands of silver piping ring the cap, with a single band at the top and one each at the top and bottom of the cap band, attached by two prongs onto the peak is a right-facing German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, constructed of silvered metal, stitched onto the centre of the cap band is a metal, tri-colour cockade within an arrangement of oak leaves and acorns, similarly constructed of machine-embroidered silver aluminum bullion wire, featuring a double-winged wheel also in silver wire, the cap is flanked on each side by bronzed pebbled buttons holding in place a decorative chinstrap constructed of braided and twisted silver aluminum bullion wire, neatly knotted at both ends, the chinstrap rests upon the cap’s visor, which is constructed of Vulkanfiber, lacquered on the upper visible surface with a raised ridge along the brim, the visor reverse is tan in colour, the interior features a 40 mm wide tan leather sweatband neatly held in place by a row of machine stitching, the interior features a stamp reading “RBD, Mü” (REICHSBAHNDIREKTION MÜNCHEN), stamped with size “60,” the interior of the sweatband is stamped with “BILL RYAN OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA,” measures approximately 24 cm (w) x 25.5 cm (l) x 16 cm (h), with no mothing and no soiling of the exterior wool, only moderate deterioration of the sweatband, and in overall better than extremely fine condition.
