(Feldmütze). A cap constructed of ribbed olive khaki twill, with fold down side and back panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front, with metal eyelets on either sides near the crown seam, the front of the cap features a machine-embroidered, Heer-style eagle in grey threads over a tan brown cotton base, the front centre presents a machine-woven, national tri-colour cockade on a woven tan diamond-shaped rayon base, both the eagle and the cockade are hand stitched into place, flanked by an inverted V in orange-yellow thread for the branch of service soutache indicating Military Police, the cap has an extended, cotton twill covered, forward visor with an internal cardboard stiffener, with a subtly raised lip to the forward edge and dual rows of reinforced stitching, the interior of the cap is fully lined in red cotton, unmarked, measures 16 cm (w) x 25 cm (l) x 9.5 cm (h), displays mild soiling and mothing on interior lining, and in extremely fine condition
