Constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse depicts a Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) bearing a mobile swastika on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field with laurel branch wreath, reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.69 mm (w) x 44.20 mm (h), weighing 34.3 grams, accompanied by its period original case of issue, constructed of card stock with a faux black leather exterior, with a white satin-type interior lid liner, intact hinge cover, slotted off-white felt medal bed, measuring 68 mm (w) x 68 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
