(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). A Wound Badge constructed of gilded zink, the obverse depicts a Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) bearing a mobile swastika on top of crossed swords over a pebbled field with a laurel branch wreath, reverse marked 28 for Eugen Schmidthäussler, reverse presents a vertical pinback, measuring 36.63 mm (w) x 44.07 mm (h), and in very fine condition, with hard-shelled case of issue, with a pebbled exterior, unmarked, with white rayon lined inside cover, measuring 65 mm (w) x 67 mm (l) x 16 mm (h), and in near very fine condition.
