In bronze, early version with interlocking "SV" initials on the obverse centerpiece, marked "PAT. JUNE 27, 82." and maker marked "B. B & B." (Bailey, Banks & Biddle, Philadelphia) on the reverse, measuring 30.7 mm (w) x 36.5 mm (h), light contact, lightly soiled original ribbon suspended from a pinback hanger inscribed "FILII VETERANORUM", near extremely fine.

Footnote: The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War is a fraternal organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of heroes who fought and worked to save the Union. Organized in 1881 and chartered by Congress in 1954, the organization became the legal successor to the Grand Army of the Republic.
