(Grubenwehrwesen Abzeichen). Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, obverse with central NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, on top of crossed hammers, reverse with raised inscription FÜR VERDIENSTE IM GRUBENWEHRWESEN (FOR SERVICE IN MINING RESCUE), measuring 35.09 mm in diameter, and in good condition.
