A silver, concave cross pattée with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border, the obverse with a raised central W under an Imperial crown, and institution date 1914 in raised numbering on the lower arm, the reverse centre presents a vertical pinback assembly, marked 800 for silver hallmark, measuring 41.90 mm (w) x 42.06 mm (h), and in good condition. A silver cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border, the obverse with a raised central W under an Imperial crown, and institution date 1914 in raised numbering on the lower arm, the reverse centre with a branch of three oak leaves below the crowned initials FW, with the original institution date 1813 in raised numbering on the lower arm, marked on loop with SILBER, measuring 43.22 mm 47.73, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in near very fine condition.

Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps.
