Saxony, Kingdom. A Honorary Member Badge for the Saxon Military Association

(Abzeichen Ehrenmitglied Sächsischer-Militär-Vereins-Bund). A badge constructed of gilded, non-ferrous metal, the obverse centre presents an enamelled oval, with horizontal black and gold stripes and a diagonal green crancelin in the middle, held to the right and left by two silvered lions, over a gilded base plate showing a royal crown above the silver blazon, with three flags and trophies, below a riveted, bent, silvered banner inscribed SÄCHS.MIL.VER.BUND, surmounted by a banner with white enamel bearing black script stating EHRENMITGLIED (HONORARY MEMBER), the reverse presents plain, measuring 43.85 mm (w) x 48.81 mm (h), on loop for suspension from period original green and white triangular ribbon, on a horizontal pinback, and in overall near very fine condition.
