Württemberg, State. A Württemberg War Memorial Cross

(Württembergisches Kriegserinnerungszeichen Kreuz). A gilded silver Maltese cross, with white-enamelled arms, with swords crossed between the cross arms, the centre obverse presents the Württemberg coat of arms, the centre reverse presents an oval medallion inscribed WÜRTTEMBERGISCHES KRIEGS-ERINNERUNGS-ZEICHEN, the twelve o’clock and six o’clock arms dated 1914 and 1918, with the motto FURCHTLIOS UND TRUE written across the nine o’clock and three o’clock arms, measuring 39.52 mm (w) x 39.49 mm (h), and in good condition.
