Prussia, Kingdom. An Order of the Red Eagle Medal, Merit Medal, c.1900

(Rote Adler-Orden-Medaille). Instituted 12 June 1792 by Friedrich Wilhelm II. (1871-1908 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised Cross Pattée with central Prussian imperial eagle, the reverse with monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm, unmarked, measuring 24.70 mm (w) x 36.18 mm (h), weighing 8.7 grams, in very fine condition.
