(Deutsches Kreuz in Gold). Instituted 28 September 1941 by A.H. (Issued 1941-1945). Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, consisting of a double-overlaid sunburst pattern with eight points, the center with a black enameled rotated mobile swastika, within a stamped gilded circular wreath impressed with oak leaves, ribbons, and the introduction year “1941”, the inner and outer sides of the wreath feature a thin red enameled rings with a gilded core in the middle, the reverse with a barrel hinge and a tapering banjo-style pinback meeting an elongated round wire catch, marked on reverse with code “20” for maker C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim, measuring 63.05 mm x 63.11 mm, weighing 63.6 grams, slight tarnishing of metals and scratching of enamels, otherwise in near extremely fine condition.
