Germany, Third Reich. A Red Cross Medal Bar

(Bandschnalle). A medal bar featuring two decorations, including a Red Cross Award, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse with a red enameled Geneva Cross on a white enameled loop, overlaid by a black enameled German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with inscription “Für Verdienste um das Deutsche Rote Kreuz” (“For Service to the German Red Cross”), unmarked, measuring 38.27 mm in diameter, in better than very fine condition, and; a Hesse War Honour Decoration, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 24.92 mm in diameter, in very fine condition; set on a 58 mm-long bar with horizontal pinback, in very fine condition.
