Distinguished Flying Cross (in bronze gilt, numbered "87" and named to "AUG. C. FRANK" on the reverse, measuring 43.2 mm (w) x 47.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, original ribbon with brooch pinback, accompanied by its 35.5 mm (w) x 11 mm (h) ribbon bar and its 17.3 mm (w) x 3.8 mm enameled ribbon bar, in their plastic case of issue); and Air Medal (in bronze gilt, measuring 42 mm (w) x 53.5 mm (h), light contact on the reverse, original ribbon with brooch pinback, accompanied by its 35.5 mm (w) x 10 mm (h) ribbon bar and its 17.2 mm (w) x 3.7 mm enameled ribbon bar, in their plastic case of issue, the case missing a piece on the left side of the clear plastic lid). Extremely fine.

This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
