Germany, Wehrmacht. A Clasp to the Iron Cross I Class, by Wilhelm Deumer

(Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz). A clasp constructed of silvered tombac, the obverse consisting of a national eagle clutching a large wreathed mobile swastika with a shield at the bottom of the badge, bearing the date 1939, the reverse with a functional hinge/catch assembly, unmarked but bearing characteristics representative of Wilhelm Deumer, measuring 44.20 mm (w) x 29.70 mm (h), weighing 9 grams, and in near very fine condition.
