Germany, Imperial. An Imperial Navy Officer’s Dagger Hanger

(Kaiserliche Marine Dolchkoppel für Offiziere und Decksoffiziere). Constructed of gilded bronze with woven black ribbon, bearing a central buckle consisting of a laurel wreath with a central anchor topped by a German State Crown and overlaid by the monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, with two sliding loops bearing stylized lion’s heads, measuring 35 mm (w) x 168 mm (l) as presented, one of the lions has lost its chain and hook, otherwise in very fine condition.
