Germany, Imperial. A Southwest Africa Medal for Non-Combatants with Hereroland Clasp by G. Schultz

Constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with “HEREROLAND” clasp, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Germania circumscribed by inscription “SUEDWEST AFRICA 1904-1906”, the reverse with a central monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II topped by a German State Crown, circumscribed by inscription “VERDIENST UM DIE EXPEDITION” (“SERVICE TO THE EXPEDITION”), the obverse maker marked “G. Schultz”, measuring 32.65 mm in diameter, weighing 20.6 grams, in very fine condition.
