(Fallschirmschützenabzeichen). Instituted on 5 November 1936. (Berg & Nolte Type C). An oval badge constructed of a zink wreath of oak leaves on the left side and laurel leaves on the right, tied with a ribbon at the bottom, riveted to the wreath is a gilded zink plummeting eagle with a swastika in its claws, the reverse presents a vertical pinback with a narrow block hinge and C catch, maker marked B&N L for Berg & Nolte of Lüdenscheid on eagle’s reverse, measuring 42.74 mm (w) x 53.63 mm (h), weighing 31.3 grams, and in better than very fine condition.
