A Cross Pattée of multi-piece construction, with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver border, the obverse with raised central oak leaves with the re-institution date “1939” in raised numbering on the lower arm, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with code “L/11” for Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid, indicating that the frame is a wartime piece with a denazified postwar core, measuring 43.63 mm (w) x 43.71 mm (h), weighing 15.8 grams, in better than very fine condition.
