Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge, Gold Grade, by Steinhauer & Lück

(Verwundetenabzeichen). An oval badge constructed of gilded tombac, the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm in the centre superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom, the reverse plain with a vertical pinback, pin stamped with number 4 for maker Steinhauer & Lück, measuring 36.77 mm (w) x 44.29 mm (h), weighing 24.0 grams, and very fine condition.
