A cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core within a ribbed silver border, the obverse with a raised central mobile swastika with the re-institution date 1939 in raised numbering on the lower arm, the reverse plain with a block-barrel hinge and vertical banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but displays the characteristics of a C.E. Juncker, measuring 44.14 mm (w) x 44.18 mm (h), weighing 20.9 grams, accompanied by its period original case constructed of cardstock with a faux black leather exterior, with an outline of an Iron Cross embossed in silver on the exterior lid, with a white satin lining, with intact hinge cover, a slotted black-felt medal bed, with functional magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release, with functional magnetic metal hinge, measuring 68 mm (w) x 69 mm (l) x 19 mm (h), and in very fine condition.
