Estonia, Republic. An Order for Diligence of the Fire Service, II Class, by Roman Tavast

A gilded silver Maltese cross, with ball finials, the obverse centre presents a fireman’s helmet and two crossed axes, the reverse centre presents the inscription TEENETE EEST (FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE), stamped with three hallmarks on the obverse of the round ornamented suspension with RT for Roman Tavast, 875 for silver content and the lion hallmark, measuring 31.45 mm (w) x 32.03 mm (h), on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in good condition.
