Three-piece construction, in silver gilt with navy blue enamels, maker marked "S. & Co." (Sporrong & Co, Stockholm), city marked with a crowned woman's head (Stockholm), marked with the National three crowns (TreKronor) hallmark, marked with an "s" within a hexagon (silver standard) and date marked "X8" (1948), the centrepiece bearing the Swedish coat-of-arms, ornate frame, measuring 38.7 mm (w) x 40.5 mm (h), horizontal pinback, intact enamels, very light contact, near extremely fine.
