Estonia, Republic. An Estonian Cross of Liberty, II Grade, III Class, c.1925

(Eesti Vabadusrist). Instituted on 24 February 1919. A black metal cross, with wider ends, the obverse centre presents a red-enamelled medallion featuring an armoured hand with sword and the letter E for Eesti (Estonia), the reverse centre presents the date of foundation 24 II 1919 over a red-enamelled field, measuring 30.73 mm (w) x 42.01 mm (h), on loop for suspension from period original triangular ribbon, with two needle pins, and in overall near very fine condition.
