A gilded Geneva cross, with red enamelled arms bordered by white enamelled stripes, with gilded rays between the arms, the obverse centre presents the letter E for Eesti (Estonia), encircled by a frame in blue, black, and white enamels for the national colours, the reverse centre presents the date 1919 surrounded by the inscription INTER ARMA CARITAS (CHARITY IN WARTIME), over a red-enamelled field, measuring 38.17 mm (w) x 57.52 mm (h), on a suspension shaped as a lighthouse with two rays of light emanating from it, suspended from period original triangular ribbon, and in extremely fine condition. Accompanied by the original presentation case of issue, constructed of blue leatherette, the interior lined with white satin, maker marked with tag for Roman Tavast, V. Roosikrantsi 3, Tallinn, presenting a white velvet medal bed, with an intact hinge and cover, with a functional clasp, measuring 6.5 cm (w) x 13.1 cm (l) x 17 cm (h), and in very fine condition.
