A Maltese cross constructed of gilded bronze, with white-enamelled arms, the centre obverse presents a silver eagle clutching a sword in one talon and the coat of arms in the other, superimposed over a gilded vertical sword, the reverse centre presents the date 11 XI 1918 (11 November 1918), measuring 38.80 mm (w) x 45.51 mm (h), on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in extremely fine condition. Accompanied by the original presentation case of issue, constructed of blue leatherette, the interior lined with white satin, maker marked with tag for Roman Tavast, V. Roosikrantsi 3, Tallinn, presenting a blue velvet medal bed, with an intact hinge and cover, with a functional clasp, measuring 6.5 cm (w) x 13.1 cm (l) x 1.8 cm (h), presenting mild damage to the hinge, and in near very fine condition.
