(Bronzene Militär-Verdienstmedaille mit Etui). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse with a raised rightward-facing profile of Franz Joseph I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “SIGNUM LAUDIS” (“SIGN OF PRAISE”) inside of a laurel and oak wreath, with a richly-detailed crown suspension and loop connecting to a period original tri-fold ribbon, unmarked, measuring 30.77 mm (w) x 51.74 mm (h), weighing 21.2 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a red canvas exterior, the obverse lid with an inscription of “BRONZENE MILITÄR-VERDIENSTMEDAILLE” (“BRONZE MILITARY MERIT MEDAL”), the interior with a white satin-type lid liner with a maker’s mark of “Zimbler, Wien VII, K.u.K. Hof-Lieferant Burggasse 33” and an intact hinge cover, with a depressed black doeskin medal bed, opening with a functional bronze spring catch with exterior stud release and dual functional magnetic metal hinges, measuring 65 mm (w) x 110 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
