Lippe, Principality. A House Order of the Honour Cross in Gold, III Class, c.1900

(Ehrenkreuz des Fürstlich Lippischen Gesamthauses, Kreuz 3. Klasse). Instituted on 25 October 1869. (1869-1890 Issue). A Gold Maltese cross with white-emamelled arms, the obverse centre presents a white-enamelled medallion bearing a red-enamelled Lippian rose, surrounded by a blue-enamelled ring, inscribed FÜR TREUE UND VERDIENST (FOR LOYALTY AND SERVICE), surrounded by the rays of a Gold eight-pointed star, the reverse centre presents the crowned monogram LA over a field of blue enamel, measuring 43.19 mm (w) x 49.10 mm (h), weighing 22.1 grams, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in extremely fine condition.
