Germany, Wehrmacht. A Silver Grade Wound Badge

(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of zink, the obverse with a central Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) bearing a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, inside of an oval laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 35.97 mm (w) x 43.72 mm (h), weighing 22.2 grams, in very fine condition.
