Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge, Gold Grade, by Hauptmünzamt

(Verwundetenabzeichen). An oval badge constructed of gilded fine zinc, the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm in the centre bearing a mobile swastika, superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom, the reverse with a vertical pinback, maker marked 30 for Hauptmünzamt, Wien, measuring 36.32 mm (w) x 43.63 mm (h), weighing 25.4 grams, and in near very fine condition.
