(Magyar Szent Korona rend). Instituted in 1943. In silver gilt with red, white and green enamels, date impressed "1942" on the reverse, measuring 43.5 mm x 48 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, intact enamels, light contact, on its original triangular ribbon with hook and eye, near extremely fine.

 

Footnote: The Order of the Holy Crown was instituted on March 17, 1943 and awarded to foreigners for services to the Hungarian state and people. It was issued in five grades: Grand Cross, Commander with Star, Commander, Officer and Knight, as well as Gold, Silver and Bronze Grade Crosses.
