Austria, Imperial. An 1899 Imperial Austrian Army Maneuvers Commemorative Medal

(Kaisermanöver Erinnerungsabzeichen). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Emperor Franz Joseph I, circumscribed by his name, the reverse with a depiction of soldiers and cavalry on maneuvers, topped by an inscription of “ERINNERUNG AN DAS KAISERMANÖVER” (“IN COMMEMORATION OF THE IMPERIAL MANEUVERS”), measuring 30 mm in diameter, in better than very fine condition.
