A round silver medal, the obverse depicting a rightward-facing profile of Karl I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with inscription of “FORTITUDINI” (“BRAVERY”) within a laurel branch wreath and above crossed standards, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon with magnetic metal hook and loop, designer marked on the obverse “Kautsch”, measuring 40.22 mm in diameter, weighing 23.1 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
