(Silberne Tapferkeitsmedaille II. Klasse). Instituted on 19 August 1789. (1914-1916 issue). A round silver medal, the obverse depicting a rightward-facing profile of Karl I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with inscription of “DER TAPFERKEIT” (“BRAVERY”) within a laurel branch wreath and above crossed standards, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon with magnetic metal hook and loop, unmarked, measuring 40.02 mm in diameter, weighing 18.4 grams, in better than very fine condition.
