Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pilot’s Badge, by C.E. Juncker

(Flugzeugführerabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a hand-filed mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with two visible rivets holding the eagle in place, maker marked “C.E. Juncker, Berlin SW 68”, measuring 65.44 mm (w) x 53.20 mm (h), weighing 37.5 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
