Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge in Silver, by Förster & Barth

Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a central Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet), overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, marked with code “L/21” for maker Förster & Barth, Pforzheim, measuring 36.75 mm (w) x 44.39 mm (h), weighing 21.9 grams, in very fine condition.
